The Verde Pickleball Machine

The Verde Pickleball Machine (VPM) will be owned and stored by The Town of Camp Verde Parks & Recreation Division, 395 South Main Street, Camp Verde, Arizona. The VPM will be loaned out to other entities and trusted individuals on a rotating basis to be determined.

It is most likely that the VPM will rotate around The Verde Valley from Camp Verde to Cottonwood to Sedona to Village of Oak Creek and then back to Camp Verde.  The VPM will probably stay in any given location for 7-10 days.

It is probable that regular times will be established in Camp Verde when players can come to the Community Center Gym to use the VPM.  We will also work with each community's pickleball organizer(s) to attempt to set up regularly scheduled times when the machine would be available for use.

Meanwhile, trusted individuals would be able to "check out" the VPM for their own personal usage for a short, specified length of time to be determined.  Transportation and delivery details will be worked out if and when the VPM is acquired.

It is highly likely that various users of the VPM will collaborate to share their insights on the most effective use of the VPM.

There will be no fee for any Verde Valley entities or individuals to use the VPM.  Any donations received during future usage will be set aside to buy additional balls and provide for machine maintenance.

Details of the VPM's schedule and availability will be reported on this blog and the Camp Verde Pickleball blog.  A private email notification list will also be maintained.

The VPM will be available to Prescott, Payson and Flagstaff pickleball people and organizations.  It is likely that a rental fee to be determined will be charged for out-of-area use.  In such possible cases, transportation from and back to The Verde Valley will be the responsibility of the distant entity or individual.

Here is what Pickleball Central has to say about the machine:

"The Pickleball Tutor Machine may be small, but it sure is mighty! This revolutionary machine is only 12 x 18 inches wide and 20 inches deep, making it almost half the size of other machines on the market. It also weighs only 29 pounds – easy to transport to any pickleball court imaginable. This machine can hold up to a whopping 125 pickleballs. Each shot is customizable: choose from a high lob, a short dink or a quick, direct fire at speeds up to 50 miles per hour."
